SILENT HILL 4: THE ROOM
is out yet another terrifying chapter in the saga of Silent Produced by Hill entitled KONAMI Silent Hill 4: The Room.
Meanwhile, there arises a question immediately, because the subtitle The Room? This question is easily answered: one day Henry, the protagonist of the game, wakes up in her gloomy room, room 302, and finds himself trapped inside because the door is closed many locks and bolts.
A big news is that Henry's apartment can be explored only in first person, a small eye-shaped icon will appear to indicate the objects with which you can interact with and among these the most useful and safe residence located in the trunk that allows to store an infinite amount of objects. From stay you can also look through the peephole of the door and watch the other inhabitants of the palace, and soon you can spy through a hole in the wall your neighbor Eileen Galvin. The room then you can move to the dear old Silent Hill through holes that appear in your apartment. The various places that are connected to the room are not connected with each other and then jump from one hole to another becomes a compulsory routine to achieve them. Some of these locations have been visited in previous episodes and know a bit 'old. The assortment of monsters instead is quite new and there are old acquaintances and absolute novelty, as the ghosts that can not be killed and cause easy to lose energy. From the technical point of view, however, animations and design of the monsters are approximate, and sound effects are not credible and not at all scary. To make perhaps the most interesting encounters with the enemy is the new combat system that allows you to upload the shots made with the weapons (sticks, iron rods, ...), the puzzles, however, remain tied to old patterns.
conclusion, The Room does not bring great innovations, besides that of being locked in a room, but it is not innovative enough to make the latest chapter in the saga of Silent Hill.
